Kenya: Aberdares - Samburu - Lake Nakuru

Day 1
Drive northwards through the farmland of the Kikuyu people to reach Mount Kenya and the small town of Nyeri. After lunch drive through the forest to your hotel where the night is spent above the floodlit waterhole and saltlick.
All meals - overnight at Treetops or Ark

Day 2
After breakfast, pass Mount Kenya and descend into the dry and rugged semi-desert area of Samburu Game Reserve. In the afternoon proceed on a safari drive.
All meals - overnight at Samburu Lodge, Samburu Serena or Shaba Lodge

Day 3
The day is spent exploring this reserve with morning and afternoon drives.
All meals - overnight at Samburu Lode, Samburu Serena or Shaba Lodge

Day 4
After an early breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru, stopping en-route for a brief look at the 73-metre (240 ft) cascade of Thompson's Falls. Arrive in time for lunch. Later visit the land surrounding the lake, seasonal home of millions of flamingos and other bird life. There are also many wild animals to be seen.
All meals - overnight at SarovaLion Hill Lodge, Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar

Day 5
An early morning safari drive is followed by a sumptuous breakfast. Return to Nairobi, which is reached around  mid-day.
