MTL 55 5½ Days

Kenya: Amboseli - Tsavo - Naivasha - Masai Mara

Day 1
Drive through Masailand to Amboseli National Park, situated at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Lunch in the park is followed by an afternoon safari drive.
All meals - overnight at Amboseli Serena, Ol Tukai or Amboseli Lodge

Day 2
After an early morning drive leave Amboseli for Tsavo West National Park. The route follows the base of the Chyulu Hills and crosses a great lava flow, which is evidence of Mt. Kilimanjaro's volcanic past. The afternoon drive in the park includes a visit to Mzima springs where there is an underwater viewing facility for a unique view of fish and hippos.

Day 3
After breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha taking lunch en-route in Nairobi. In the afternoon reach Lake Naivasha which lies among extinct volcanoes on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The lake is a bird watcher's paradise.
All meals - overnight at Lake Naivasha Club.

Day 4
Drive across the Masai plains to reach the renowned Masai Mara Reserve in time for lunch. An afternoon safari drive introduces you to the large herds of wild animals and the numerous predators, which have made the reserve so famous.
All meals - overnight at a lodge or tented camp.

Day 5
A full day of animal viewing when it should be possible to see all the "Big Five" as well as a variety of lesser known species.
All meals - overnight at a lodge or tented camp.

Day 6
After breakfast depart from the reserve and re-cross the Rift Valley to reach Nairobi by lunchtime.
